Our Visionary: Dore Anne Marie Sayon (DAMS)

The history dated back in 1993, when Dore Anne Marie Sayon who fled a civil war into neighboring Guinea, N’zerekore to seek refuge. A simple schoolteacher with great foresight and enthusiasm for children endeavored to establish an educational center, specifically to support and educate impoverished and deprived children with exceptional, emotional and educational needs. DAMS vision was to provide maximum support for impoverished and deprived children of all ages through a home-based teaching environment that would promote the ability for kids to be equipped to meet the day-to-day challenges in life.

OUR MISSION

To provide holistic support services to young children and adults with disabilities or challenges, advocate for and provide shelter and services for the needy, contribute to community well-being and crime reduction, promote national unity and peace, improve career guidance programs, decrease recidivism, utilize media platforms for humanitarian and gospel programs, and advocate for civil liberties, equal access to education and employment, and to promote the rule of law.

This mission statement reflects the organization’s commitment to addressing various social challenges, including working collaboratively as individuals from diverse backgrounds, supporting vulnerable populations, promoting community development, advocating for fundamental human rights and social justice, and reuniting mankind with the Creator of Heaven and Earth through Jesus Christ, his son.

VISION

We foresee a world where all humanity is given the opportunity and right support that promote self-determination, respect, dignity, justice, equality, freedom of movement, freedom of religion, freedom of thought and expression, access to education and the joy and peace of successfully contributing to public life. 

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To provide holistic support services to children and adults with challenges to achieve their maximum potential and independence through innovation and individualized approaches that encourage education and personal fulfillment;
  • To endeavor to win or advocate and provide counseling to the lost, shelter the poor, and provide services for the needy;
  • To provide enabling services for community or family wellbeing, and support to young people in reducing crime rate amongst medium to high-risk offenders including women, intellectually disabled, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) offenders;
  • To contribute to the development of an open and peaceful society which could be intertwined with working alongside any agencies or governmental framework;
  • To build or work with existing programs, services information, and products to improve the effectiveness and suitability of career guidance programs, activities, and services;
  • To decrease the likelihood of recidivism in communities by perpetrators through training in righteousness which will transform them into vital citizens;
  • The promotion of national unity, civil liberty, genuine democracy, social justice, as well as freedom of speech, and press, of religion and conscience;
  • The promotion of equal access to educational opportunities, employment, and cultural advancement;
  • The encouragement of individuals to honor the rule of law and to advocate against malpractices.
  • To formulate initiatives or projects for education and developmental purposes
  • To establish projects for agricultural purposes;
  • Advocating on behalf of and for the youths and other groups in order to achieve and ensure active participation at all levels of the broader community.
  • To create and use its television platform to proclaim the gospel and to provide humanitarian programs and services to various multicultural communities;
  • Scholarships for the less Fortunate
