Dore Anne Marie Sayon (DAMS)
Our Visionary Founder
The history dated back in 1993, when Dore Anne Marie Sayon who fled a civil war into neighboring Guinea, N’zerekore to seek refuge. A simple schoolteacher with great foresight and enthusiasm for children endeavored to establish an educational center, specifically to support and educate impoverished and deprived children with exceptional, emotional and educational needs.
DAMS vision was to provide maximum support for impoverished and deprived children of all ages through a home-based teaching environment that would promote the ability for kids to be equipped to meet the day-to-day challenges in life.
Jack Sayon
Co-founder/ Board Chair
Mr. Jack Sayon is a spirit filled believer and an experienced Project Lead with strong capabilities in project coordination, governance, and financial management. With 10 years of progressive experience across both the private and public sectors, he has successfully led the planning, execution, and evaluation of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
In 2023, the organisation’s Co-founder, Mr Jack W. Sayon, based in Australia, expanded this vision by developing a holistic approach focused on the spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and economic wellbeing of young people. This expanded vision seeks to support young people who are constrained in their efforts, or facing systemic barriers to be prioritised in their own development and meaningfully contribute to their communities.
Jack brings high-level analytical and advocacy skills, enabling him to assess project risks, optimize resources, and improve operational efficiency. His leadership style is collaborative and solution-focused, fostering strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and funding bodies.
Jack holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors, equipping him with advanced knowledge in strategic management, financial oversight, and organizational performance. He is committed to delivering measurable results, continuous improvement, and excellence in every project he leads.
Denisia M. Mawah
Assistant Board Chair
Denisia Mawah is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), healthcare executive, humanitarian, and visionary leader whose life’s mission is to serve God by serving people. With more than 21 years of nursing and healthcare leadership experience in the United States and Liberia, she has dedicated her career to improving lives through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and servant leadership. Her experience spans primary care, medical surgical, dialysis, critical care, cardiovascular care, rehabilitation, case management, and long-term care, where she has led multidisciplinary teams, mentored healthcare professionals, and championed evidence-based practices that promote healing and hope. Born and educated in Liberia before advancing her nursing career in the United States, Denisia carries a deep passion for giving back to her homeland and empowering underserved communities to thrive.
As the Chief Executive Officer, Denisia believes that leadership is a sacred calling rooted in faith, integrity, humility, and service. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, she is committed to building an organization that transforms lives by advancing education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community initiatives. Her vision is to cultivate future leaders, restore hope to vulnerable populations, and create opportunities that enable individuals and communities to reach their God-given potential. She leads with the conviction that every act of service is an opportunity to reflect God’s love and glorify Him. Through collaboration, innovation, and unwavering faith, Denisia is committed to leaving a legacy of compassion, excellence, and lasting impact for generations to come.
James Troup
Board member
James Troup is an experienced business and technology leader with a strong track record in ICT project management, systems engineering, and operational leadership. As General Manager of Kodo Technologies, he has overseen the company’s growth from a startup to an ISO 27001-certified provider, delivering high-quality services across regional South Australia.
James holds a Master of Leadership from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (Business Major) from Uni SA. He is currently pursuing CISSP certification and has completed additional training in Cyber Operations and contractor licensing. He also represents Kodo Technologies as a Covenant Partner with the Australian Signals Directorate and chairs the company’s ISO 27001 committee.
With over 30 years of leadership experience, James is passionate about building strong teams, mentoring emerging leaders, and fostering innovation. He is also deeply involved in church and community life, serving in various ministry and advisory roles, with a strong focus on multicultural outreach and leadership development.
