Biography

Darlene Garmi is a dedicated Public Health Professional and Minister of the Gospel with over twenty years of experience in public health programming, healthcare management, humanitarian response, education, and faith-based leadership. She is passionate about applying her leadership, technical expertise, and programmatic skills to advance organizational missions while serving humanity in alignment with God’s purpose.

Darlene has held senior roles with respected international and local organizations,  including the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Liberia, where she served as Project Coordinator. In this capacity, she provided strategic leadership for  donor-funded health initiatives, worked closely with the Ministry of Health, WHO, UNICEF, and county health teams, and ensured effective project implementation,  monitoring and evaluation, and reporting

Her professional background also includes leadership positions with Population
Services International (PSI), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Médecins
Sans Frontières (MSF–Switzerland), and Benson Hospital, where she managed
multidisciplinary teams, implemented youth and community health programs, trained
health workers, and supported vulnerable populations, particularly women, children,
and youth.

In addition to her programmatic leadership roles. She has contributed to health education  and capacity building as a lecturer in nursing and health science institutions. She  also brings strong clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, having worked as an emergency response nurse, a rotational nurse on various wards in the hospital, in the
pediatric intensive care and sexual violence response units.

Darlene’s passion for the salvation of souls led her to establishing a faith-based organization which aims at catering to the spiritual, emotional, physical and socio-economic needs of under privileged women and children who suffer abuses and neglects.
